Women in Tech Data 450 Mentor Code of Conduct
Guidelines for mentors to foster a respectful and productive mentoring environment for all participants.
1. Respect and Inclusion:
Treat all mentees, fellow mentors, and community members with respect, fairness, and dignity.
Promote an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged.
Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other characteristic.
2. Professionalism:
Conduct yourself with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions.
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of personal information shared by mentees.
Refrain from engaging in any behavior that could harm the reputation of the Women in Tech Data 450 program or its members.

Fulfill your mentoring responsibilities with dedication and reliability.
Communicate clearly and promptly with mentees, setting and respecting boundaries and availability.
Be consistent in providing guidance, support, and feedback to help mentees achieve their goals.
4. Empowerment and Support:
Encourage and empower mentees to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
Provide constructive feedback and celebrate mentees' achievements and progress.
Foster a positive and supportive mentoring relationship that promotes mutual growth and learning.
5. Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and developments in your field.
Be open to feedback and seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
Share your knowledge and experiences generously to contribute to the growth of the community.
6. Ethical Conduct:
Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts to the program organizers.
Do not engage in any form of exploitation or misuse of your mentoring position.
Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to mentoring and the Women in Tech Data 450 program.
7. Communication and Collaboration:
Foster open and honest communication with mentees and program organizers.
Collaborate with other mentors and community members to enhance the overall mentoring experience.
